Although it is Saturday, I woke up today at 6:30 while everyone is deep in their sleep, got ready and out of the house at 7:30 and on a 2 hour bus just to meet those lovely creatures you are seeing in the pictures; please meet Oryx. The oryx with their long, straight horns and their white coats.
Before having these fair coats, the oryx have a light brown coat and as it grows up they change it into white, we were lucky to see the youngest, cutest member of the herd.
it is a sort of miracle to see these animals, since they were on the near of extinction. the reserve had only 5 of them in the last years and they were considered an endangered specie but now thankfully their status had been reversed to “vulnerable”
It was a weekend well spent, in meeting you Oryx.
